Residents of Kwapong and its environs in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region, have on Thursday June 30, 2022, gone black, as seven (7) passengers on board feared dead on the spot as a result of a gory accident being a crash between a taxi and a tipper truck, on the Kwapong-Dedekrom stretch of the Sankore-Noberkaw highway.

Reports reaching
us bespeak that, the accident which is said to have happened between the hours
of 10:00am and 12:00pm occurred when the drivers of the two involved cars skidded
off their respective lanes.
The wallop of the
actions of these two drivers ensued a heavy collision, leaving the said number
of persons to meet their untimely death at the spot.
In reference to some
images and coverages we have in our custody, one can clearly conclude that, these
gone souls suffered before dying as some had their hand, head, legs, ears and
other parts chopped off.
Reports also have
it that, the fire service personnel who were called to rescue the victims were also
involved in an accident on their way to the accident scene, leaving six (6) of
the personnel in critical condition.
