Driver of a log truck whose identity is yet to be known is reported dead in a gory accident at Sankore in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region.
The incident which has claimed a life, leaving the conductor of the truck in a critical condition is said to have occurred some few minutes into six in the evening on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the heart of Sankore (4 Junction).
According to an eye witness, this bloody accident happened as a result of the driver’s failure to negotiate a curve that would have led him to the Zongo of the town.
The conductor who is battling for his life reportedly jumped from the truck as he saw one of the logs mangling his boss (the driver).
It took the residents some time to cut and remove the trapped driver from the mangled truck.
As at the time of reporting (18:45), movement of vehicles was ceased as the road was blocked by the three tied logs.
